MANILA, Philippines - Motorists using the Skyway System, South
Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Star Tollway will enjoy toll-free travel
starting at 10 p.m. on December 24 until 6 a.m. on December 25, and
from 10 p.m. on December 31 to 6 a.m. on January 1.
The Skyway System consists of the 13.5-km Magallanes-Alabang at-grade and the 16.2-km Buendia-Alabang elevated sections.
The 36-km South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) connects Alabang to Sto. Tomas,
Batangas, while the 42-km Star Tollway is from Sto. Tomas to Batangas
City.
The managements of Skyway O&M Corporation (SOMCO), the Manila Toll
Expressway Systems, Inc. (MATES) and Star Tollway Corp. (STAR) announced
on Friday the toll holiday to show their appreciation for motorists who
patronize the Skyway System, SLEX and STAR.
Motorists, meanwhile, are reminded to strictly observe the tollway speed
limit and other traffic and safety rules even during the toll-free
hours.
