If you’re still recuperating from your holiday expenses (I think we
all are) but in a hunt for an Android handset with a sizeable screen,
then Cherry Mobile’s new 5.2-inch handset may just fit the bill. Catch the pricing and official specs after the break.
The Omega has been in CM’s pipeline for
several months already, but it’s only recently that the local handset
company has added the behemoth smartphone to their portfolio.
As you can see in the image above, the Omega is being retailed for Php6,699.
Its spec sheet is what you’d typically expect from a smartphone at this
price point – 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory
and pair of snappers (5MP main, VGA secondary). Besides the screen size,
however, another note-worthy feature of the Omega is its 2300mAh which
should give you decent mileage.

The Cherry Mobile Omega will be available in two color variants:
Black and White. There’s also talks about releasing an HD version (Omega
HD) of this handset, but details about it at the time of writing is
